Evoking the bloom of summer roses.

There’s a particular moment in summer when roses feel almost alive — warm, velvety, fragrant, humming with sunlight. Organic geranium oil is one of the few botanicals that can evoke that same sensation. Though not a rose itself, its floral profile carries the rosy brightness, soft sweetness and leafy green lift that define a garden in full bloom.

For SWEN & Co, this was the starting point for Babe Butter 001: a desire to bottle the emotional memory of roses opening in warm air, and to pair it with the sensual depth of organic ylang ylang.

Geranium oil contains natural compounds such as citronellol and geraniol — the same aromatic molecules found in rose petals. This gives it a rosy, green‑floral scent that feels both familiar and fresh. But geranium brings something extra: a crisp, herbaceous edge that makes the fragrance feel alive, like petals still attached to the stem.

It’s this balance of softness and vibrancy that makes geranium such a powerful note in natural beauty formulations.
